Say hi and let the community know where you’re from, what you do, and anything else fun you’d like to share :grinning:

Hi everyone, I’m Mark Macdonald or @markmacdon on Twitter. I lead community support at everviz and I’m one of the Admins of this great new forum.

Originally from BC in Canada, I now live in Bergen, Norway where everviz has its HQ :norway: :mountain: :ocean:. When I am not here working on the community I like to hike, ski and spend time with family and friends.

Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions about the forum.

Hei! I’m Martin Kleiven and have been the contact person for many people sending us emails. The last few months I’ve been setting up and orchestrating the forum you’re looking at. We hope that this will be a good resource for you today, and for the masses tomorrow.

I’m originally from Bergen, and sometimes sit next to @Mark at our office.

When I am not working, I sometimes program for fun, other times I go climbing; so send me a message if you are ever in Bergen, and we’ll work something out!

Hi, I’m Chris.

I’m originally from Leeds, UK which is where I still live and work. I’m a Graphic Designer and have been for the past 15ish years. Historically I’ve worked in packaging as an artworker and designer, but now I sit as the sole designer in a global role working for Turner & Townsend.

Turner & Townsend are a multinational professional services company specialising in programme management, project management, cost management and consulting across the property, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife and 2-year-old son as well as having a keen interest in American football, the gym (when I can force myself to go) and I’m a novice skier.

You can sometimes find me being an idiot on Instagram @bicker_crazy88

And i’ve just ticked over 250 everviz charts

peace x

Hi, I’m Kerry Holm.

I’m the Senior Production Designer at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). CIHI is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides essential information on Canada’s health system and the health of Canadians.

I’m responsible for producing high-quality, on-brand and accessible information products, including reports, charts, tables, and presentations.

I’m located in a little town called Almonte, near Ottawa, Canada (famous for Hallmark movie scenes and the home of James Naismith, Inventor of basketball). In my spare time, I enjoy travelling with my husband and 2 boys, paddle boarding, and hanging with friends. I also like repairing and restoring old photos, and occasionally swapping a head or two .

Nice to meet you all!

Hi! I’m Sam Elbouez, and I’m a Senior Designer of Data Visualization based in Washington, D.C. I’m part of a very small, in-house team at a Data/Survey Research company. We rely on everviz to make all of our public-facing, dynamic Data Viz. We also use PowerPoint & Adobe Illustrator to handle our static viz. Since we have many many chart makers, a large part of my job is setting up everviz to be as easy and quick to use for those who need to make a chart. We launched department-wide use of everviz in July 2021, and my team has been discovering, improving, and hacking everviz charts since then. Looking forward to learning more in this forum!

Greetings Sam, nice to see you in here! PowerPoint has a web viewer which can be used to view interactive charts. I’m curious if you’ve had a look at that?

I haven’t! Going to look into this this week and see if we can use it. Thank you, Martin!

I’m a senior production designer at CIHI (Canadian Institute for Health Information) from Ottawa, Canada, with a passion for accessibility, design and data visualization. I’m a typical Canadian, I love getting together with friends and family, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors with my son and our rescue husky.
